Overcome underline mistrust

Find a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed for the session. Sit or lie comfortably, and take a few deep breaths to help yourself relax.

Imagine standing on a cliff’s edge overlooking a vast, open expanse. Gazing out at the horizon, you feel a sense of peace and calm.

Now, imagine a figure approaching you from a distance. As the figure gets closer, you realize it’s a version of yourself – the self plagued by mistrust and suspicion.

Allow yourself to acknowledge the presence of this part of yourself and greet him with compassion and understanding. Let him know that you are here to help and willing to listen to his concerns.

Ask the part of yourself plagued by mistrust to describe his fears and concerns. Then, you listen with an open heart and mind, without judgment or criticism.

Now, imagine holding a piece of paper in your hand. On the paper, write down all of the fears and concerns that the part of yourself that is plagued by mistrust has shared with you. Take your time with this, allowing yourself to write down everything that comes to mind.

Imagine crumpling up the paper and throwing it off the cliff when you have finished writing. Then, as the paper tumbles through the air, imagine it being carried away by the wind and disappearing.

Take a deep breath and let go of all the fears and concerns that you have written down. Know that they are no longer a part of you and that you can move forward without them.

Imagine yourself again standing on the cliff’s edge, looking at the vast expanse. Feel a sense of peace and calm as you realize you are free from mistrust.

Repeat the following affirmations to yourself: “I am worthy of trust. I trust myself to make good decisions. I trust others to act in my best interests. As a result, I am free from mistrust and suspicion.”

Take a few deep breaths, and when you’re ready, open your eyes and return to your day feeling calm, confident, and at peace.

Remember that overcoming underlying mistrust takes time and patience. Practice this meditation regularly, and be gentle with yourself as you work through your fears and concerns. With persistence and dedication, you can learn to trust yourself and others fully.
